SE 43rd Avenue Bridge Replacement FDOT District 1
Okeechobee County, Florida
OM Engineering completed this FDOT District 1 project as a subcontractor to WGI, Inc. We performed transportation and structural design services, as well as construction services, as part of this contract. The project involved aspects of roadway design to accommodate the approaches to the new bridge, structures (e.g., the bridge and retaining walls), utility coordination, drainage and stormwater, and permitting. The new 47-ft single span, 45-ft wide pre-stressed slab bridge was designed according to FDOT Structures Design Manual and AASHTO LRFD Specifications and was constructed using AASHTO Type II prestressed girders.
